I really doubt the YFZ thing is true. That would seem to raise the price quite a bit, and it wouldnt make much sense for Yamaha to do that right now.

Honda raised their prices. For a 1000RR it's almost $12,000. For 450R, it's like $6,600 or $6,700.

I doubt that Yamaha will do that to a factory bike. Where are you getting this info.

i highly doubt the yamaha stuff will happen, there not going to put holeshots on a factory xc racer when bill ballance uses razr's

They might, I doubt they really care what their racers are getting paid to use, they are going to use whatever company gives them a better deal on a couple 100k tires.

Cannondale tried to build race specific bikes too........you saw what happened to them.

I'm not sure building seperate quads would be the best way for Yamaha to make money.

Those are your sources for credible info? :ermm:

The only real way to know is after the dealer shows announce what's coming. Other than that, it's all speculations, wishes, and rumors.

Some guy came from Japan and has an mx version... can't show pics or give a vin # or dealership???????

First of all, American Yamaha will be the one releasing the bike. If it had been released in Japan, we would have already known about it. Yamaha isn't going to spend millions of dollars re-tooling their manufacturing facility when they will bot even spend any money to support the developement of the sport. In the leisure industry (which ATV's are in), they don't change it if it isn't broke. Why would they change things if they are selling well? If this was true, the quads would be close to 10,000 dollars retail anyway.

Give it a couple years, they will be 10k, not long ago 5k was high for a new quad, now retail is 6500.
