Did anybody try to not put the top end gasket?
Is there any compresion gain?
A friend do it in a blaster and it works well.

:huh What he put a liguad gasket or something? I think it would leak oil on a 4 stroke.

I don't even understand why that blaster would have good compression. You would think there wouldn't be a good seal without no gasket.

I'd tell your buddy to put a gasket on his Blaster. Just go get the head milled. Its under $20 or free, just sand it down with sand paper. It would be alot better than no gasket and give ya the same gains.

My friend only put a little of liquid gasket and that's all.
He donīt has any air leak.
Maybe in the 400ex doesn't work.
In original gasket is conformed with 3 thin gaskets, maybe I can broke it and put only one.
I don't want to sand it down because "maybe", in the future, I could buy a high compression piston and it could be too much compression or the valves could be too near the piston.

removing the gasket on the 400EX to gain compression = very bad idea :(

Just using a different headgaset (Say XR400 which is thinner) will give you a slight compression gain.. but you'd never notice it in a stock motor (in my opinion)..
