COBRA exhaust, are they always lowd

I have a used 300ex, stock motor but every thing else has been worked over by me. I>E> powdercoated or polyurethene painted. However the cobra exhaust that came on it was very noisy. I repacked it and it is still noisey. Is this inherant to Cobra?

from what I have seen they are extremely loud and their power gains are minimal from what I hear

Cobra's and dg are always loud, and if you don't have the endcap will throw flames!!!! Have fun:D
