Polished parts

for those that have polished parts,do you need to keep polishing them to keep em shiney?Or does regular cleaning do? Ive just polished my motor mounts,shifter,and right side case where i was rubbung the paint off with my boots.It looks great now but just wonder how it holds up before i go nuts and polish everything.I cant belive how easy it is to get a almost chrome like finish.And it only cost a few bucks for the sandpaper and polish.Ill try to get a few pics of what i've done so far.

Regular cleaning will do , but after a little while they will get dull so you have to put a lil mother's polish on them and they will shine like they did when you first polished them.
