400ex motor help

i have a 416ex and second when you gas it hard it goes out of gear i think it is sliping could it be the clutch plate or the clutch wHAT SHOULD I DO

asjust your clutch cable..

if it only does it in 2nd gear I don't think it would be the clutch, if it was a clutch problem it should do it in all gears. 400ex's, 300ex's, 250R's all wear out 2nd and 3rd gears if you ride/race a lot. I just posted this on another thread also, you would be amazed at how very little wear it takes for your gear to start slipping and popping out of gear to where it won't pull. Unless you can split the case yourself be ready to spend some $$$ on labor. My 2nd and 3rd gear were doing this, I did all the work myself and the parts were $190 from my local shop.
