i just bought this car..and from the factory it didnt come with a tach. well i took my old sunpro tach out of my truck that i sold. the way it hooked up on the truck was to a green wire comin from the coil. well i went to hook it up to the car and i dont kno where the feed wire is suposed to go. this is a 1.5 4cyl motor with the distibutor on the side of the valve cover(side of the cam)and i was woderin if anyone had a 91 civic or has hooked up a tach on one of these cars. THANKS!

i dont no bout that, but make sure the tach is adjustable for a 4,6, or 8 cyl engine or else it wont read right (guessing your has a 6 or 8).

actually, when i hooked mine up i wasnt sure which wire off the coil (i had 3 i think) i just exposed a little bit of each wire until i found the right one, then covered up the other wires that i spliced into with some electrical tape.

why are you putting a tach on a 1.5? if it had a swap i could understand, but on a stock 1.5? search ebay for a cluster with a tach, it should plug right in and work.

as a friend of his....i kno he bought the car because of gas milage...gas is too high and hes getting great gas milage out of that honda compared to what he was getting...he had a 1979 (i think) ford ranger that got maybe 8 miles to the gallon....hes gettin prolly arround 35 mpg with that honda....so hes saving alot of money in the long run

i drive a 98 silverado 350 vortec and i get DECENT gas milage but prices are just too high im seriously thinking about parking the truck and getting a 4 banger just for the milage

right now i dont think you could pay me enough money to own a sports car...not only because of gas prices...but because both of us are 18 and insurance would eat our asses alive
