i got these a-arms used from a guy on here...put them on my bike and the upper ball joints dont look like they fit right in the saddle...they stick up a lil bit..prolly half inch or so..but they look exactly like they did on his bike..everyone i talk to says that if i can get the nylon nut on the stud it doesnt matter but i need a few more suggestions...boring out the spindle is out of the ??? since it weakens the metal...or do i just buy new ball joints? or are these fine?

I've noticed on some of the newer a-arms that the ball joints don't go flush with the spindle, that they stick up a little like in your picture. I beleive this is so the ball joint can pivot without hitting the spindle since the new style have such a great degree they have pivot. I'm not 100% positive on this though so don't just take my word. I would contact Houser just to make sure that is how they are suppose to be.

I have Houser +1 LT arms on my 400ex, and that is exactly how the heim joints are supposed to fit.

Everything looks fine in that pic, so don't worry about it. ;)

i dont think those are heim joints they look like ball joints to me... could it be that the rubber piece that holds the grese in is pushed up and thats why it looks like theres a gap? just a thought

for Houser a-arms that is the correct fit. DO NOT drill out your spindles besides weakening it that will screw up your caster/camber adjustments.

Nope, they're heim joints with a dust boot...

well i finally just called houser today and the guy told me..that since the standard a-arms are designed to give the upmost inches of travel ( he claimed 11 inchs) that if that was a ball joint and fit flush like the stock ones or any other type for that matter it would hit the spindle...and said everything looks the way it should..and im good to goooooo..
