New crank or rebuilt old one?

I am in the process of rebuilding a 1985 Lt250r and the rod has a ton of slop in it. It would be $310 for a new crank and around $150 to rebuild mine. Anyone know what I should do or wherer I can get it rebuilt? Thanks!

i would go with whatever you can afford,i have bought the complete cranks for my cr250 from wiseco for like $165 or so.your quadracer may be a lil'higher.a rod kit will be just as good as long as the installation is sound.your local dealer should have a guy he uses for crank rebuilds.
