Im looking at buying a full exhaust for my 2003 300ex. I am looking for a performance increase but mainly I want it to sound good. If possible i'd like it to sound like a crotch rocket or harley. any help would be appreciated.

Sparks X4 will give about the best sound/power. Or you can save a few $ and get a HMF slip on and WB header. DMC alien and WB full system are nice too. You may want to try a search for 300ex pipe/ 300ex exhaust. You will find TONS of info.

Agree,
I'm running a Sparks X-4 and I won't use anthing else. (used to own a FMF Performax, and WB E)

I did shorten the can up 2-1/2 inches though. The turndown tip goes just past the rear grab bar. I like being able to put the quad up on it's back haunches for cleaning/maintenance.

Does that pipe have a good loud sound?

The sparks x4 is pretty loud. I have the version with a spark arrestor so it isn't as bad but the race version is extremely loud.

I have a Sparks X-4 Race (no spark arestor) w/ turndown on my 330ex.. and it's louder than your average piped Harley for certian.. lol.

I hate tuning it in the driveway because I worry about pissing off the all the neighbors within 2 city blocks.. lol.

Most aftermarkets will have a Harley sound if you dont have a quiet core on them.

You'll never get a crotchrocket sound because the high reving 4 cylinders whine. We thump. ;) That is unless you put a CBR1100RR engine in an atv.. lol.

after all my years of tuning atvs, well the ones i havehad anyhow,i think the best pipe i have ad for my 300ex was the graydon proline.loud?kinda, but i actually could feel a nice power increase.while most exhausts claimhpincrease and actually just move it around, the graydon flat ripped.im 6'1and about 210 with gear,33 yrs of age.so im not your typical 300 rider, again the pipe rips!it will shake the house a lil'bit when its idling..lol:)
