I have a 2003 honda 300ex all stock and I recently removed the airbox lid. I'm wondering if I should rejet, and if so, what size jets should I use. Also in a few months I plan on getting a k&n filter and complete exhaust system, so would it be fine to run it as is with the airbox lid off until then?

You won't really ntoice a power increase unless you rejet. 1 or 2 sizes on the main should do it. You may even need to go to a 40 pilot jet. I would just wait and rejet according to the pipe manufacturers suggestions and leave the lid on for now.

Aye.. you'll need richer.. but just leave the box on until you get new pipes/filter You're so corked now anyway, having the lid off won't really make a difference.

You wont need a new pilot on a 300. I'm running 330cc 11:1 fully loaded and I'm still running the stock 300 pilot.

Sparks calls for a 42 pilot on the 300ex:eek2: It helps with cold startup if you live in a cold climate also. Mine was a bear to start if it was below 50 degrees F. Now it starts anytime without using the choke.
