I called maier about the New 300EX plstics

Well today I decided to call maier about the new plastics coming out for the 300EX. The lady said that the rear fender will be just like the 450 r's fender, and the front will be a race cut the resembles a mix of the 400EX race and a 450r if you can picture that. Any way im pretty excited because they said a few weeks to a month and they should be out, the person i talked to said they look really cool, theyre just making some finishing touches:D ,kinda sucks its gonna be a while but i think itll be worth it,

I called them myself and the lady said she knew of nothing new coming for 300EX.That Shucks!!

There website has a rear race fender listed for the 300EX but no pics, I asked when they would be available and pic up and they replied not sure??

it was about a month ago when i called, and the lady I talked to was real cool and told me all about what they looked like. However, when i called a couple days ago I talked to a different lady who said that she new nothing about them, the first lady I talked to said that they are working on finishing touches, and they look really sweet, so I hope they come out soon.

The rears are good looking but god damn the fronts are ugly!

sorry to whore my quad around i know i have it all over the sight but i think the rear low pros look better than the rear and i still like the old race cut fronts better with some graphics i think it looks way better also, those front are way to pointy. Heres my setup.....

pappys right, it does look kinda like a blaster, or a cobra 70. i'm sure it will look better in full race trim tho. i have never understand why anyone leaves the lights and stock wheels and tires on a 300ex that they are trying to make look good

I agree. that plastic is funky looking. It does look better if you cover up the light in the pic but I still prefer the look of the fullbores. The nose just looks way too long and a little high on the new maier. I do like the rears though.

Dear God, those things are hiddeous.

I wonder if the new fronts will match perfect with the older-style rears, like the low-profile. I think if you cut the new style to a race-cut, they would look better than the old style. Combine it with a low-profile rear, and you'd have a decent set. Of course, you would have to get rid of the headlight.

they look ugly on the quad they used for the picture !!! the 300 looks like a duck or something with stock fenders... new fenders like these give the 300 a improved look I think

I like them. The kinda look like yfz fronts mixed with 450r rears. I think a little trimming on the front and they would look great. Being on a fairly modded quad always makes them look better too:devil:

www.maier-mfg.com says that the fronts are 242... and the rear is 205... thats 447 plus shipping :eek: IDK but if you ask me for that cost I would much rather have a set of fullbores.

There is also the $35 for the tank cover and another $50 if you want to try and put a 250R scoop on it + you still have shipping. A hell of a lot of money if you ask me, but if you like them you will get over the price somehow...In my opinion unless you already have them, you would be better off buying a decent pair of shocks and run the plastics you have until the fall off.

I agree, slap a hood on the normal 300 race front and its lookin pretty good, not gay lookin like those new fronts, they should have made it look like a 250r or somthin.

I like the rears but the fronts look to much like 400ex fronts. The rears tho I really like and I think maier is just saying that so they can sell more complete sets. JMO

honestly, I think the only reason they look like crap there is because the bike is all stock other than the plastics. If it had the headlight gone, bars, tires and a pipe, im sure itd look great :cool:

the entire body looks just to high for a 300ex you need to do a 400ex shock mount and it would look alot better.....and then the fronts look to perky i guess......

man those fronts are ugly. They should of made them look like 250r fronts.
