+3 A-arm shock length?

Just curious as to what length shock everybody is running / recommending for +3 a-arms?

You only have 2 options... The fact that theyre +3 makes no difference on shock length. What makes the difference is whethere you go Long Travel or not. If you get the long travel arms then you need LT shocks, if you get +3 std. travel arms, youll need stock length shocks....

the standard travel shocks are 16 inch(on a 400ex/250r) , the LT shocks can vary quite a bit depending on the brand of the a-arms. really its not stuff you NEED to know, the shock company you deal with has a formula for about every frame on every set of a-arms and can do all the hard work for you. all you need is to bolt them on and play with the adjust ments until you like them

I should have stated that this will be a long travel set up.

for what quad? 400x LT's are usually right at 19 inches, but the stroke and valving can be quite a bit different between 2 different companies
