ok well i turn the gas on and pours out like the float is stuck, my bike is a 2000 416 with a 170 main stock pilot. i had gas pouring from the carb, do i need a new carb, i heard that the 99 and 2000 model ex's had carb leak problems anyway, need help, also my bike goes crazy on idle then will almost die the idle real hard again, the idle just keeps fluctuating till it does, never a constant idle

I think that 99-00 400ex carb have some problem of leaking cuz the float is stuck
just put it apart and clean it

If you just rejetted sounds like you might have gotten some dirt stuck in your carb and it sutck your float open. Try taking your carb apart and blowing some air through it and spraying it with some carb cleaner.

Aye agree.. it's either the float is stuck, or the actual needle valve the float closes is stuck open.

Bingo! and the leaking (even just a little) will cause it to idle strange. Plus, if the pilot is clogged or incorrect in size, you might be compensating for a problem with the pilot or mixture screw. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM it's a possibility?
