Well when i was a young, well younger lad, i had a yamaha breeze. It was my first quad and i loved i, but after a while i smashed right into a tree. This was about hmmmm 4 years ago and it has just been sitting cause the frame is pretty tweaked. Well recently i got a new frame and we're rebuilding the little quad for my niece and nephew. I was thinking to myself " hey ive got this tweaked frame that with some cutting and welding i could make it work" So i came up with a crazy idea of putting a dirt bike motor into this little chassis to make a little drag quad for the dunes. I know it sounds rediculous but it just may work. I would probably make a custom swing arm to keep it from popping back all the time. DO you guys think this would work or would it just be another one of those rediculous hill billy hybrids? Ive got the tools, i just dont want to waste a lot of money on a project that wont work.

You should go for it, just don't drop a ton of money into it. A mini quad dragster aint something you see alot, if at all.

your going to have to either rubber mount or get a motor that is counter balanced. That or deal with it haha, I'd go with a 125, 250 maybe a 500 if it will fit

yeah i want a 125 liquid cooled motor. I think it would be sweet if i got everything to fit right. But if it worked how i planned... that would just be awesome

if its not going to cost alot then you don't really have much to lose.

I'm positive that a CR80 motor is all your niece/nephew can handle. They do scream! :)
This has been done. Usually a 230 zuki or a blaster frame is used, ,,,.,,,....,,,but have at it! :D
