400 ex question

i spoke with a very reputable engine builder that told me that a 400ex case didnt hold up very good when a big bore kit was installed. anyone had any problems?

We have been building big bore 400ex motors since they came out and have not had any case problems. The strokers have had some issues but a regular big bore NP.

maybe the builder used the wrong words and was talking about the head studs? and how they pull out from the cases?

no maynard i wont be home plus i dont have a quad yet. thanx for answers guys. i would like any info about 400ex you all mite b willing to share. also looking at 300ex for wife. do either quads need paddles in the sand? what is hp of factory 400? thanx all
