hey guys..i just put 250x shocks all the way around on my stock 04 400ex...it handles so good around the mx track now, i can nail turns faster than the guys with built blasters...let me know what ya think!

interesting..... i assume it's pretty easy, but how big of jumps can you take before she bottoms out? (or tires hit plastics, whichever comes first)

becuase..the lower she is, the faster i can go..and i can hit some huge jumps withoput bottoming or my tires hitting the fenders

Looks like a really good way to pop the ball joints :eek: what is the length of a compressed 250ex shock vs a compressed 400ex shock ? if the 250 is shorter it may be letting the ball joint pass it's limits. :ermm:

the quad in the picture sure looks like it has stock A-arms.. Do you have a better pic of the leager t-pin bushings?

OMG...i drilled the original bushings out...tapped a hole, and mounted t-pin bushings...leave me alone

We run flattrack & we tried a set of stock 250x shocks on the front to lower it w/o lowering kits & it handled LIKE CHIT!!!!!! 1st off we don't even run that low for FLATTRACK :huh :huh see how your a arms are "sagging" downwards?? That IS NOT GOOD they should at least be level or a little upwards, I'm scared to see what the rear looks like :eek: your winger should be almost level when looking @ it from the side!! You must be on a MELLOW mx track cuz I took mine lowered to a Super TT last summer & bottomed it out on the 1st jump & threw the chain on the 2nd one LOL

Anyway to each his own but you REALLY should change it back before you ruin it or hurt yourself JMO

Ive tried the 300ex shocks on my Ex and OMG, it sucked sooooo bad!! stiff as a board and cornering SUCKED! This was something we wanted to try for FT racing, not a good set up :o

I think it sux that ppl lie on the internet. Moastly because I have done some really neat things that I like to tell ppl about, and I cant expect them to believe me with out pics. so to any one that liles about things on the iternet. ( other than just making a story a little better) YOU SUCK!!

oh and you see how when u sit on it your a arms actually go upward? that means you got about 4 inches of wheel travel before your a arms bottom out and smash into the frame supports...have fun, your going to have some costly rapairs soon
