will a rear disk brake and caliper off a 250r or 40ex fit om my 99 300 ex?

no,the 250r has a dual piston caliper.the rotor is also of a different bolt pattern from your 300ex

There's really no need to swap out a 250r caliper on a 300ex.

You'll never have problems locking up your rear tire. It's the 300ex's front breaks that are the weak ones.

Unless you broke your stock one.. no need to replace.

If you did.. try to rebuild. Or if it's a broken case, then buy a used 250x one off of e-bay and rebuild it.
