banshee vin decoding?

My buddy just bought a banshee and would like to know what year it is. The seller thought it was an 01 but wasn't sure. The vin code is JY43GG034YA013866.

the second Y in that number is your year if i'm not mistaken. i THINK that Y is a 99 but i could be wrong
