well u have a few options
1. heat it with a torch and bend it back (it may look ugly but at least its fixed)
2. shorten ur silencer although i dont no how where that is bent
3. BUY A NEW PIPE:D

looks better than last pic ... i think... try using pipes to bend the stuff back with.... and torch...

yea i bent it back a little with some steel stock
broke the mount if you can tell so i gotta weld that back on now. i was gonna replace the pipe but i got a bad valve seal so igotta rplace that now and im just gonna but a high comp piston in it while its open

I would stay away from the torch. An idea is to check out a muffler shop. They have flare tools that can expand the inside diameter of exhaust tubing to its outside diameter. I could be wrong on this but extreme heat weakens the metal. If the weld didn't weaken the body, why didn't the body bend at the point of impact (underneath?). I realize it doesn't matter at this point but I couldn't help but wonder?

i dont think its going to matter on this. the metal may be weaker using a torch but at least you will have it bent back and its not going to matter how weak it is since its a pipe. i would worry about it cracking tho so be careful.

Try to find a peice of steel that will fit the inside diameter of that pipe. do not wale on it. Just try to work it back through there! If you hit it to hard it will probably smash it on down. Hit the steel with a rubber mallet instead of a steel hammer, that way it will have some give. You will know pretty much right a way if it is going to work or not.

save your self the frustraition. get a new one. buy the time you are done straigtning it, it is gonna look like chit no matter how nice of a job you do.

Aluminum gets stronger every time you bend it. unlike steel, aluminum get stronger and stronger till it just breaks. and it gets more and more brittle every time it is bent.

if you use a torch on that, its ok to heat the mount up abit but if you heatthe canister up too much you will ruin it.

With a little time and patience you can have that thing almost looking like new!

The can is alum and thus can be worked rather easy. Drill out the rivets on the other end so that you just have a tube to work with and start rolling her out with a length of straight pipe. If you use any heat just don't get too crazy with it, use a cool sooty flame and just take your time. The trick is to work is slow so as to not work harden it.

Roll/ work it on a smooth table top and make sure that the "rolling pin" is smooth also. This will keep you from getting a bunch of small bumps in it from the tools. Get yourself a small ball peen hammer to help in getting the dents out, make sure to back up anywhere you hammer with some sore of tooling to help it get in to shape, this is where different diam. tubes come in handy.

When you are done, sand her down and give her a good polishing and it will look like new, almost!

It is aluminum don't use a torch on it.

I'm thinking maybe something like the same size as the end of the pipe...maybe like a rubber plug the same diameter as the pipe...pound it in and maybe it would beat it out?

Just a thought.

Nah it wont.. you'll just end up with a stuck rubber plug in it.. lol.

Use the rolling pin tactic.

But' I wouldnt "polish" it. Polishing will show all the imprefections. Clean it up but leave a satin finish. Hides the defects better.

if you have a talented Tig welder anywhere, cut the canister at the bottom and pound the dents out then have him weld it back and polish up the weld

COULD maybe cut the bent part of the pipe out with plasma cutter and fab a new peice to go into it and use that same mount it would look a lil funny but it would be straight again...:ermm:
