Ive got 05 400ex with my mods listed in my sig...I also have a set of pro armor nerfs and bumper on the way in the mail....But im lookin for some more speed....anyone got suggestions on what to buy next????sprocket,cam,etc....???anyone info would be helpfull....I just dont wanna risk loosing the reliability of my bike

The CDI is going to cost you some reliability especially with winter starting. You aren't going to get much out of it either without internal engine mods - get a new cam to take advantage of the CDI.

I assume you plan to open the airbox up with the exhaust change and rejetting.

Cambridge is all flat land so I wouldn't go down to a 14 tooth on the front.

yea i do ride alot of woods and trails...and some open field drags

as it is now i can beat a stock z400 easily by about 2-3 bikes

another question...as it is now im still running a closed airbox...if I goto an open box setup will i need to rejet???....im running a 152 main and a 42 pilot right now whcih were the recommened jets from HMF

Beleive it or not, shocks will make you faster. Buy shocks first then get into the motor.:D My shock upgrade made me a gear faster through the same trails as stock.

My trail speed really isnt waht im lookin for...im lookin to gain speed in the open feild...but not lose any in the woods

You would need to rejet. HMF can tell you exactly which jets to use.

Recommend talking to one of the cam vendors. They will tell you exactly which one would be best for your setup. Sounds like you want a cam that increases hp more in the mid-high rpm range.
