DP pads are hard to beat. I also used a set of Tusk since they were $15.00. I wanted to see how good they were and they lasted 2 GNCC races which is great. I would stay away from EBC and Braking pads. They were the worst I ever used, in addition to not fitting well on the disk and caliper.

hate to say it but yamaha factory brake pads have outlasted everything I have ever used ( EBC, honda, DP ) and there not that expensive either. YFZ450 rear pads fit all the way around on a 400ex

im running ebc severe duty pads and they are amazing can do stoppies for an hour straight and they dont fade and they are lasting a long time but if you wnat to spned alil more than the ebc the galfer and dp pads are supposed to be good also

I personally dont see why everyone likes the stock pads i put a brand new set on mine when i bought it and bled the lines great and every thing they workked good but faded from heat plus they arent holding up as well as my ebc's are.

btw im still using stock lines

I have ebc severe duty too on my 400ex. they last about a year in the front and I ride in sand and mud and wisconsin terrain every day. the backs last about 6 months or so. I buy two for the back to every 1 in the fronts. But they are on the expensive side. I still like them though. Just my 2 cents though Steve.

i've used all different brands of pads in my years of racing and riding. the moose/dp pads have the best feel, no fade when wet, and still last extremely long. galfer is pretty good but their customer isn't the greatest and they sometimes send out the wrong parts. ebc's either won't last or fade when wet(no braking till dry again).
