hey i know this might be a simple dumb question and i probly should know this but here goes. i have a white bros e series slip on it has 12 disks plus end cap. if i put a 168 honda main, 40 piolt and the a/f mixture screw 4 1/2 out will this be ok??? it seems to run ok and not hot, will this setup give max horse to a stock engine? what is everyone running so i can get a idea as to where i should adjust the carb so its optiomal fuel mixture threwout the throttle openings. thanks a bunch also should the plug be lighter brown i always thought tan was ok (same thing?) if not n e where i can look to get an idea:scary: shanksh josh

The 40 pilot should be fine but if the mixture screw is out more than 2 1/2 - 3 turns the pilot should be upped and the mixture screw readjusted. The 168 main is probably too big. Do you have an aftermarket filter? With or without the airbox lid? Elevation will be a factor too.

thanks joe i have a k&n with no lid but i go back and fourth if i ride in mud (stock air/w lid). 3 out on the screw it would pop and choke threw carb, so 4 1/2 made it better i ride at 1/2 3/4 throttle and my altitude is 5300 ft does this screw just let you fine tune or is this ok any needle adjustment sugustions? my bud runs at 158 what do you think, me thinks 42piolet and 158?? but header in near future any help is well used thanks josh

alright i have a wb-e-series too, and i run a 42 pilot ( still to lean) if you have to turn your idle mixture screw more than 4 turns out to stop the poping on deceleration, than your pilot is still lean..and for the main i run a 158 it seems to run pretty crisp so i would try a 43 pilot and 158 and ajust your mixture screw and see how it runs...good luck

Modify your lid so you can put an Outerwears Airbox cover on your Airbox so you can Ride both places w/o the lid. Same material as the Filter Outerwears. Just oil it and you wont get and water or mud inside your box.

yes if u had to turn your mixture screw more than 4 turns out, to stop your poping on deceleration than your still lean on your pilot, i recomend arould 2 1/2 to 3 turns out normal

isnt there a chart on this site that shows what jets are made for what speed and gas position. like it showed pilot is for mostly 1/4 throttle and the main is like 1/2 or 3/4 or w/e where is that chart it would be helpful to see one
