Banshee???

I am currentlly riding a 250EX but in 2006 i will be getting a new quad. I have a CR85R dirtbike and from now on i LOVE 2-strokes.
I am very good on quads if I get the right one I am pretty sure I can win a couple races that is where I need help.

Banshee-$$5,900

450R-$6,650

YFZ450-$6,900

Z400-$5800


Those are the quads that I like but right now I say the Banshee please give me some good facts and bad facts about it for racing.
Remember I love 2-strokes though. Also I rode a Banshee last week for the 1st time and loved it. There are some huge price differences between these. You gotta have nerfs to race also. Also I do not want a 250r either becauz they are all used and i want a new quad.

go with either either a 450r or a yfz. i used to be a 2-stroke die hard. never wanted to make the change over to a 4 but i did and dont regret it for a second. i like it so much better.

It depends, if you can find a nice used banshee with suspension and all it would deff be a nice quad to get, but its somewhat outdated, me being a banshee owner I'll admit its 1980s technogly but hell you cant beat the ride!

Also I would go to the dealer ship, sit and try to get a test ride on them. :)

yeah i would do that but next year i will only be 14 and there aint no way they will let me get on a 450r or yfz450 I had to ride my friends banshee is there anything wrong with them that would pull u back from the rest of the 450's if u raced a banshee?

What kind of racing are you doing? If its drag racing against a bunch of fat guys in dunes, then get your Banshee. If its MX you need to go with a 400EX, 450R, or if you for some reason if you want a Yamaha get a YZF450 (then watch the Honda guys beat you). Banshee's just aren't good on MX tracks no matter what you do to them because they were made for the drag racing crowd.

it is mx racing but i have seen many banshee's on the track beat the 450r and yfz in the A class there has to be some way to upgrade to win plus i love honda all the way but honda only has 4strokes I love 2-strokes

I've never seen a Banshee win MX. I'd question the skill of the riders of other bikes if I saw a Banshee win in MX. Four strokes are much better now for MX. They have the low end power you need to pull out of turns and for jumps. A two stroke needs to be constantly reved up to have power when you need it. Goto any MX track and you'll see at least 80% of the quads are 4 stroke (if not all of them), and at least 50% of the motorcycles now are 4 stroke and those numbers are only going to go up.

yah i kno i kno :( but i rode a kfx400 and it was wwwaaaayyyyyy to slow 4 me ( dont mean to affend any1 on here with 1) and i didnt like how it rode then i got on the banshee which only has holeshots an silencers and i was hitting a 40ft gap jump on it and easily clearing it which on the kfx i was barley makin it to the landing
