Bought a WB E-Series

Went down today and asked if I could buy the WB pipe and then when I had more cash buy the header and my mechanic said since I have a 300ex that I can do that. Just curious before I get the header though, should I do jetting first? My friend has the WB slip on and I dont think he has it jetted or anything and the thing starts kind of hard? I want to get a K&N Powerkit for the jetting, just wondering if its going to make a HUGE problem for the 2weeks that I have to save up some cash for it?
