I tried to do a search but I was told that I need to use more than 3 letter words so there was no way for me to search for "tie rod end".

Anyway I have new ones coming early next week and I was wondering what the best way to install them is? I was told by someone today that I need to square the wheels to each other by measuring from one of the inside rims in the front to the other. Then do the same for the back. He then told me I need to toe them in in the front 1/4" to allow for suspension travel or something. Is this true?

Thanks,

LM

the quarter inch is for steering response, but yeah, seems like you got good advice.

Put an * if you want to search for a 3 letter word.

I believe LSR or houser on there website has how to setup the front end.

hey,

From the 250x/300ex workshop manual:

measure tie rod to tie rod inside ends on each side for of bike.
each side should be - 226mm / 8.9 in.

when take measurement - do not measure from the locknut!!!

after measurment are OK, tight the locknut to tourqe of 55 N-M / 40 FT-LB

Good luck
