What is the stock carb that comes off of the Trx 450r?

It is a Keihin 42mm round slide.

How does it compare to a FCR 40 or a 41mm flat slide?

The FCR is supposed to have a quicker throttle response, it does not give more HP but just faster response. There are more mods available for the FCR carb and from what I hear they are worth every dollar. I will be getting one in a month or so.

But for the 400-800 dollars one of these 41mm FCR's is outragious! I am getting my 13:1, portwork, and a possible cam change before I spend that kind of cash. Don't get me wrong, the carb would be an excellent addition to a modded motor. I just think for the price you could go with motor mods before hand.

I'll bet my motor will beat your FCR equipped motor.:D :blah: :p

I already have the motor work done that you are about to have done. So yes the FCR carb is my next move.
