I have a 1998 Honda 300ex. We installed a MegaMax exhaust system on it over a year ago. Yesterday, the exhaust finally corroded away, separating at the point where the muffler attaches to the head pipe.

1. How long is the warranty on these products?

2. Can I just replace the muffler part without buying a new head pipe and save myself some money?

3. Can I install another one of their products (Q, PowerCore, T-4) onto the head pipe that comes with the MegaMax? Or do I need to stick with a MegaMax II to replace the one I had?

Other info: 1998 Honda 300EX, WiseCo piston (stock size), Mukini carb, cam, no limit rev box, K&N power kit (not sure of the jet), but it flat out screams without a muffler!.

I'm thinking that maybe you can just get a replacement part, unless you want a differant muffeler.

FMF really wasn't able to help me, as no one had ever used FMF universal mufflers to replace an old one. I'm going to give it a try since it'll save me about 80 bucks. They did tell me the Q series is just quieter and perhaps not as much power. The PowerCore is the way to go if your bike is stock and you don't really want to mess around with tweaking it and the jetting. The MegaMax offers the most power provided you change the jetting and tune the muffler for optimal settings.

mine lasted almost 2 1/2 years...not too bad since aftermarket stuff never lasts as long as OEM

is the WB a slip on? i wonder if it will fit my FMF head pipe? the head pipe OD is 1.375 inches...

heres the prob, fmf's headers are made of unpainted, unfinished steel, they can quickly turn to rusty crap if not taken care of, so, buy a slip on wb e series, and see if it fits, if it dont, use the stock header, the wb headers are either stainless or sumthing, they dont rust
