painted my helmet

Well my helmet was looking pretty bad so i sanded it down to the bare surface and put a good 5 coats of flat black and masked off teh chrome front piece, put chrome door edge gaurd around the face opening will be ordering a tld chrome visor and sabilizer soon here it is i think it turned out real nice started out as a scratched up hjc clx4

Looks good. You should think about a clear coat to help keep the scratches and nics down.

thanks for the compliments guys i dont think im going to clear coat it cause then it will take the flat out, im thinking about pinstripe or airbrushing a design onto it but not just yet

ive tried clear coat on flat black b4, it makes it look like an old glossy paint

I think you can get a dull coat that would cover it in clear paint, but it would be flat. They way it is now, you will get a scratch or chip in it if a stick gets at it.

my skid lid is startin to look pretty bad after my charlotte wreck so im think of doin black with chrome flames or somethin

I am an airbrush artist you can use the House Of Kolor flatening agent that works very well.Depends on how much you put in the flater it will be.Also,PPG sells a flat clear,and so does ansa....Just incase ya were wondering...Eddie

i just started with higher grit and worked my way down to the smaller stuff, im not sure what brand paint i used but its a satin flat black

I think im going to do mine.
I got a yellow and purple helmet, looked real good with my old pruple and yellow Shee but looks like ***** with my red honda!!!!
