Warrior parking brake removal??

I am helping a friend jet his warrior for a pipe and K&N. The quad runs great through the gears but if I stab the throttle in neutral it sputters or stalls. I have adjusted the air screw with no success. He removed the stock clutch perch and parking brake and there are two electrical connections that he left hanging. Can someone tell me if those wires need to be seperated or connected?? I wonder if this could be the cause of his problems??

If they are the same as the EX's they are just so you have to pull the clutch in to start it. Wire them together then you should be able to start in any gear and without the clutch pulled in.
