Ticking Sound

My bike makes a loud ticking sound. I got the valves ajusted and it still does it. i was told that it is going to tick more then stock since i do have the hot cam stage 2 in it but it still seems to be ticking more and louder then normal. any idea?

Mine is doing the same thing and i have a 426EX as well. But i have the stage 2 hot cam. Mine valves are adjusted as well and it is still ticking louder then it should.

I have heard people say that synthetic oil will help quiet it down.

a buddy of mine has a hotcam 2 and his engine does not tick.. i have heard the hotcam 1 will tick quite loud, but the 2 doesnt tick..

Do yall still have your decompressor in? im going to pull mine tonight and probably plug the hole..

Deompressor? do i need it what does it do why do people take them out? I was told not to use synthetic oil should i or should i not.
