Hey guys-
I feel like an idiot...I cant get my axle and nut to go on right. I got it off Ebay so im thinkin maybe theres a missing spacer or somethin, I donno. So if someone could look at the pics and give me some insight, it would be appreciated. Also, where does the spacer go thats hangin on the axle in the pic (it goes w/the nut but I dont know where.) The other ring hanging on the axle came off the stock one.

i dont think it has to be all the way screwed in,i think it is suppose to but up against it

you cant really see it here but my locknut isnt all the way screwed in,it is up against the snap ring

This thing is frustrating me and i know its something so simple. Even after I tighten the nut up, you can pull the axle out towards the sprocket, like its missing a ring for that groove. Could you get me a close up of yours?? Im doin this with no instructions whatsoever so gimme a break lol. Thanks

ahhh i wish i could bro,but my camcorder i use to take pix is up at the lake, and i just ordered a sony cybershot yesterday:D

it is something simple, you have everything in place, now just turn the locknut until it is tight up against that spacer

Here you go...

If you have the stock threaded sleeve slid over the splines on the axle, you should be all set. You have the clip holder/washer on in the proper direction, so all you need to do is slide the circlip further to the left until it sits in the groove. Once you do that, rotate the axle nut clockwise until the threaded sleeve touches the brake hub and and the axle nut has pushed the washer over the circlip. The washer should shroud the circlip as shown in my pic. Once everything is seated, you should be able to apply 5-10 lb-ft of torque to the nut. I just tightened mine lightly with a crescent wrench. Then, you can tighten the pinch bolts.

Because of the circlip, there's little possibility that the axle can come out if the nut loosens up, so I rather run mine a little loose as opposed to too tight. Aluminum threads are much too easy to damage...

Let me know if you need more information. Hope this helps!! :)

The RAD locknut will work with stock, LSR, RPM, Durablue, and pretty much every other aftermarket axle out there.
