What are your thoughts either way. I noticed that "Engine Ice" is based on ethylene glycol. I know the new "pink" stuff from GM is ethylene glycol. I think that is whatI am going to go back with.

Most types of antifreeze/coolants have ethylene glycol in them. It simply raises the boiling point of the water and lowers the freezing point. I don't know much about propylene glycol, it may be present in other types of coolants but you should be fine with normal everyday antifreeze. If you want a little bit better cooling try Water Wetter by Red Line Lubricants, you add that to your coolant. It's really good stuff we use them in all our snowmobiles.

Maybe someone else can chime in on the advantages of propylene glycol.

Seems to me that one is less toxic than the other... propylene I think...

The new stuff that GM uses is Propolene glycol... Just don't mix it. We called the dealership before we did it, and they have a bunch of new cars in because they mixed the fluids, and it corroded the aluminum.
