Help!

I just changed my oil over the weekend and noticed that the longer oil filter bolt will not tighten. It looks like the case itself has been stripped. Does anyone have an idea on how to re-tap or re-thread the case?

youll probly hae to drill and tap a new one, then put in a wider bolt. some one correct me if im wrong though;)

could have it heli coiled but you will have to remove the side cover I beleve. I think drill and tap can't get to big though.

try putting in a small pre trehad or you just might have to tap it.
i think tapping it would be the fastest and safest way.

Tapping is what I had in mind, but I just wanted to see if there were any other options. Thanks a lot guys!
