will i need to replace the crank with aftermarket one?
if it does not need a crank can i instale it my self with out any special tools?

no dont need a new crank possibly a new rod if you wanna be extra safe and hinson or sparks basket if you dont want to wait for the stock one to wear out otherwise if your using a overrev kit i would strongly recomend a rod for that

yeah like he said you can change the rod but if you don't run any higher then 11:1 compression you should be ok on the stock rod.

yes you can install it your self, it's only changing the piston, very easy. you will need to get a new sleeve installed and bore it out to size by a machine shop tho. but the rest you can do.

If you plan on going any higher than 11:1, I STRONGLY reccomend you replace the stock rod, it will most likely NOT hold up! Heck, if you got the money, I would do it even with 11:1 on a 440. You could take your chances, but you may end up learning the hard way like I just did... Also, another cheap mod for added reliability is a CRF450 cam chain. Its 25 bucks from service honda and is twice the width of the stock one + works perfectly....
