I have been reading that the crf carbs are a little better than the trx carbs, can someone tell me why? I was wanting to put one on my 400 and just wondered which was better and the reasons why. What can you do to the trx carb to make it as good as the crf?

The CRF450 carbs are FCR type carbs with the flat slide and the TRX450 carbs have the round slide. From what I've heard the CRF carb is supposed to rev a bit quicker. From the dyno's I've seen the hp gains are similar. I don't know that there is anything you can do to the TRX carb to make it rev like the CRF carb. This is assuming both carbs are jetted correctly.

yap, crf carbs have more suction.. i love my FCR40mm has enough suction to suck the intake tube flat if i dont have the lid off, taht is with a K&N
