I have a 04 400 ex. I dont have many mods and I dont want to rejet just for an aftermarket airfilter until I get a pipe, so for now I am sticking with the stock airfilter... What do u guys use to clean it and to oil it? I just want some opinions on what to use and mabe good procedures for a STOCK airfilter. thanks

its not hard to re jet. just look at the float bowl on the carb it has a big nut with a built in washer on the very bottom and take MAYBE a 1/4 socket and twist it off, make sure not to over-tighten but enuff that it wont wiggle off. as for air filter oil its all preference but i use no-toil for all filters even my uni. mostly for convinence

say if you go with a k&n filter you dont need to rejet unless you take off the airbox lid. i would say just go out and get a k&n:D

soapy water and some oil for afterwards. sorry but to rejet the cap is 17mm and the jet is 6mm, very easy to do:cool:

Make sure you use oil formulated for foam type airfilters.
