Do u have to re-adjust the timing when you put a cam in? like if i was going to get a 416 and a hotcam stg 1 or 2? i heard of alot of people also getting a crf 450 timing chain? what is the deal with that? thanks alot for any help

yes,and the CRF timing chain is just a real much more beefer one then the stock 400,i have one in my 416

yeah like he said the crf chain is just beefier. as for you timming just set it like you would if it was all stock.

dont you just make sure the lines are alligned on the timing?

yeah, put the piston at top dead center, and then make sure the line are flat with the top of the head, with the cam lobs facing down.
