Hi I'm a Dutch guy, sorry if my english is not good. I have a question about mx tires and wheels.
What mx tires are good in any condition? (hardpack, loose, some grass and muddy) It may be different brands front and rear. And which rims do I need? I want to stick with douglas wheel. Do I need beadlocks rear

Thanx

get the kenda klaw MXF. they can be flipped around in the back for different types of terrain. and they last a lot longer than MXR4's. personaly i think they r the best. get them front and back

smaller tires make the quad sit lower and lets the quad handle the turns much better

i'd reccomend the 20x6-10 Klaw MXF fronts and 18x10.5-8 Knarly MX rears for your conditions, that is the combo i'll be running in the future on my quads

Are there no other racers who have their opinion about this?

I run holeshot mx fronts and holeshot mxr4 rears. I love this combo. May not last as long as the Kenda's but I believe they hook up better. As for the rear wheels I would go with 8 inch beadlocks. I use omf beadlocks and like them a lot and you can get the beadlock ring anodized colors and get them in normal or scalloped designs. The use douglas wheels but omf adds the beadlock.

This topic has been covered a lot before. I use 20" Holeshot fronts and 10" holeshot rears, but maxxis, and kendas work as good. The only difference would be price and thread pattern. Get the ones you like best. And do a search.

:eek2: You must have crazy acceleration with those 10" rears!!! LOL. I personally like the kenda klaws all the way around as well. You dont NEED beadlocks on the rear but if you have the money go for it.

i run 20" razr mx in front and 18" razr mx rears all on t-9 pro series wheels. u also want small tires so u dont bounce on the landing of the jumps.

Not being a **** here, but there is no such thing as an MXF rear. The Kenda claws have the MXF (F stands for front), and MXR (R stand for rear). A lot of people use the fronts for ice racing around here.

Maxxis Razr MX is the best MX tire all around I have used and they dont wear fast like the holeshots do. Im not a Kenda fan either, so my vote goes with the Razr mx

1) Lower ride height
2) Better cornering due to less sidewall flex
3) Less centrifical weight (better acceleration more power transfer)
4) Less unsuspended weight
5) Less torque/stress on the spindles under load
6) Less knobs to "sharpen up" between races
7) Don't need the swingarm clearance you do in XC
