I have a 14 tooth front sprocket already on and I can't find any place that sells a 15 tooth. 13 is stock and the 14 still isn't givin me enough speed. do I have to start changin the rear sprocket? I don't wanna cause those are a little bit more expensive

Im not sure but you might not have enough clerence to run a 15 tooth sprocket. So i would be smarter to change the rear.

I thought that 15 was stock. If you go down on front you will have a lower top speed, same if you go bigger in the back. For more acceleration you want to go down in front and up in the back (sounds kind of twisted).

I think he is wanting top speed, not acceleration. For that you need to go up in the front or down in the rear, but if you keep going up you will not have enough power to pull the gears and you will not gain anything. Why do you want top speed anyway?

stock 300ex gearing is 13/38

14 is as big as you can get on the front. go three sizes smaller on the back to get the same as a 15 tooth would give you
