Stock - aftermarket tire sizes

I have 22inch holeshot xct's for the rear tires on my 400ex, and the stock 22's on the front. My stock fronts are goin bald so im gonna get a new set of front tires. Im getting some razr 2's but i dont know what size. My rear tires are huge and my fronts are small even tho they are both 22. I heard that aftermarket tires are bigger then stock ones of the same sizes, is this true? Because i would like for my front and rear tires to be more in proportion, so i dont know wut size of front razrs to get.

Will 22in. razrs be bigger then the stock 22's? or should i just get 23in's......im afraid the 23's will be gigantic tho

From what i've read aftermarket tire sizes vary from brand to brand, not neccessarily bigger. I have a pair of 23" front but not on rims and they are locked in the trailer at the moment so I can't get a pic of them.

I'd say go with the 23's, others will have their opinions, just gotta wait for the replies;)

im afraid ill get the 22 razr2's and they will still be just as small, and im scared if i get the 23's, their gonna be friggin gigantic.....i guess im just gonna have to pick one and see wut happens. But either way, i deffinately need to get a bigger sized front tire, cuz it looks really weird the way it is

23''s! They won't be gigantic. Try to find a pick of I think his forum name is Markk or something..he has a 400ex with razr II 23'' fronts and 22'' rears...it just looks like an XC quad.

You'll kick yourself if you get 22''s.

22!!!!!! My friend has razr2 on his 400ex with razr 2 rear in 20 inch and he said his fronts look like there 23".

Yea i took that into consideration. The razr2 are very tall and seem like 23 inch tires. All aftermarket tire sizes are a little under exaggerated.

That's because the 22" is the measurement at the carcas. The treads are in addition to the diameter.. so if it has 1/4" deep treads it's got a 22-1/2" O.D. and if it has 3/4" deep treads it has a 23-1/2" O.D.

well either way, i just ordered some razr2 22inchers from rocky mountain, sittin on some purty douglas. 190's :D

should arrive in a few days, about the same time i should be gettin my kickup ims pegs
