Which do you all prefer????

I am thinking of buying a motion pro twist kit for my 250r project. Im not quite sure yet so I wanted to see what everyone else was using.

Ive always used the thumb... so Im a little worried the twist just wouldnt feel right on a quad... although I have no problems on my sons kX 125.

Its up to you all... Tell me what to do...

dont get the twist! i had one on my blaster and it wasnt a good idea at all. its way different then a dirtbike is. stay with the twist! when u jump or something you can twist the throttle and flip which i've done:(

Same, most riders that switch to a twist try and go wfo and not learn on it and it bites them and they give it a bad rep, IMO you have more control with a twist then you do with a thumb and I would rather be holding on with my entire hand then 4...

I rode all last year with a Twist. I like it for WORCS and Long Racing.

I just switch back to Thumb 3 weeks ago and I really like it better..Can go faster thru the whoops and with the twist it's SCARY chit..

SO THUMB

IMO I would stay with the thumb. A twist on a quad is a lot different than a twist on a bike.

First time I rode a twist on a quad I rolled it down a hill after it sticking WO, it was a 250EX so I couldn't pull in the clutch to stop before hitting a tree. I hate them, I've tried it after that and it just doesn't feel right. I've been riding a thumb all my life, if I could, I'd put a thumb on our motorcycles.

ya ive scared my self ****less a few times with twist throttles but i am basically forced to learn them because my dad puts twists on everything. they are nice in wide open areas..like dunes and stuff but on a track they can be rather scarey

A twist takes some getting used to. If you have ridden motorcycles in the past, then you might prefer it. I use a twist for hare scrambles. The only times when I don't care for it is in the whoops.
