I was at the sand drags last night and i had on my 8 paddle sand devils on that are brand new and when it got cold out last night the sand on the strip got really tacky and when i would line up in second gear i would rev it all most full throttle sititng on the gas tank almost and would pop the clutch and it would just bog out becuz it couldnt spin the paddles in the tacky sand... i ordered a 14 tooth sprocket and ill see if that helps i ordered it like 2 weeks ago and it hasnt come in yet but i think i need to go inside the motor to get some more horse power so i was wondering what all u guys suggested for a sand dragging/motocross/rec riding motor... what should i do to it to be able to beat some of the big guys at the track becuz last night i lost for 3rd place to a yellow 400ex by .121 of a second which on film was about 8 inches:mad: i was really mad after that one becuz if i could of been able to get off the line and get infront of him i would of won for sure so i have about 800 dollars to spend what should i do? thanks for the help

With 800 dollars i would doing the following.
426 je piston kit from marcum's -165
gttunder cam-150
fcr39mm-450
This should give you alot more power.

Do the 416 first. Then if you would ever have Problems with the 416 you would still have 1 Bore left on the Stock Sleeve. I would get a JE 416 Piston, TC or Sparks Cam, and a 39mm FCR Carb. Also a Pipe if you don`t have one already.

i have an e-series pipe and k&n filter and rejeted but for some reason when it gets colder out in the sand it cant turn the paddles thats why im going to get my motor done. i was thinking about getting it done by hetrick becuz i can get a cam and 416 kit for 500 dollars and then get a carb if i need it should i get a hetrick 416 426 or maybe even a 440?

I would check out the 425. I know Casey has it and likes it a lot. Ask him about it.
