i rebuilt my 400ex about 2 months ago. It's smoking agian :mad:
if im going to take the thing all apart agian im going to put a big bore kit in.
i am getting into mx racing and i want to know your guys opinions on all the big bore kits.
i have a fmf pipe, k&n filter.
what is the best kit for the money?
what other perfomance componets should i add with the big bore kit.
please list componets in order of importance
an what brands should i go with.

you really need a cam and some head work to complement your big bore kit to get the full potential of the motor. Call For Dirt Only and ask for Mike he builds some nice big bores.

Where is for dirt only I've never heard of them? I see your in Columbus and have been pushing them so I'm guessing they are in Ohio.

For Dirt Only is just outside johnstown about 20min north of new albany he just mostly does 4stk quad motors.

i would do a 416 or 406... 416 is the most popular choice... and probably the most reliable...

I know how the 416 is much faster than the 440:D , but I would think that by the popular logic that the 406 would be more reliable.

ok i am leaning towords the 416, with cam, do i need hardend rockers?
what brand should i go for
any other componets i should keep in mind
and where can i get the best price.

I have had both the 416 and the 425 or 426 what ever it is, but There is not a lot of differance between them. I recommend you go with the 416 rather than the 425 because theres not that much power differance that you can feel and just incase somthing does happen to your 416 like mine did you can go to a 425 and not have to buy and new sleave.
