I have a set of Elka Triple Rated front shocks w/ rezzys that I love...but my front end sits so much lower then the rear end...I know I could fix this buy having a company revalve my shock and buy a gt thunder linkage...but I do not have the money for that...

Is there anything I could do, preferably for under 150 bucks, that can make my the rear of my quad sit lower but still be very functional and keep the same performance?

Thanks
-Justin

EDIT: Would a 250r shock fit a 400ex? If so, I am pretty sure it will lower the rear end, but would it mess up anything? Since they are pretty much the same frame and geometry?

I have a rear 400ex Elka revalve I would sell for $230.00 shipped. It is a year old. The bottom out bumper is a little worn but the shock works great!!! I just put it on a z400 for a weekend and it did not work on that so I took it off and now it is for sale. I can get pics.

The only way to do it and work correctly is an SSD conversion or linkage kit. The 250R shock won't work.

ELKA recomends that you adjust your preload on your rear spring(less preload), lowers your height. it works. cost $00.00

Yes but it will also make your rear shock softer since its not an SSD setup.

you could also raise the ride height on the front shocks and lower the rider height on the rear to get a happy medium untill you can save enough for the Elka rear conversion..
