Ok, I don't really have the time at the moment to do a search, but I was just wondering about what the difference is between say, a Keihin 136 and a Dynojet 136? I'm just curious because I'm going to be rejetting very soon, and just trying to figure out about what sizes the DJ jets are compared to the Keihin's because I have a bunch of extra DJ jets laying around from some jetting I've done on other quads.

Any help, as soon as possible would be awesome.

A dynojet of the same number is larger, and has different taper. The Dynojet 136 lets in as much fuel as a (I think) Keihen 142. The Dynojet 142 is what you use to replace the stock 148 main. I believe that the Dynojet numbers are about -6 from keihen.

Also remember that you have to use the adapter if you use the dynojets.

So, if i wanna use around a 138 jet, then I'd need to use a DJ-132, right?

i have never used dynojets but i hear the same thing. one thing many people fail to remember is that the needle you run has a lot to do with what mainjet you run. i know on a 400ex the dynojets run larger than keihin jets with the same number WHEN using the dynojet needle. well i guess i shouldn't say i know because i have never tried it but this is what i read. i am not sure if you use the stock needle or not.

I tested the size of a keihein 155 and a DJ 155 into a needle and it was very very similar... We can say is it the same size.. I just don't know why DJ run a smaller jet than keihein?

A good advice, pitch your dj to the basket and buy mikuni for the sure way....

There is only thousands of an inch seperating a DJ 136 and a Keihen 136. Hey cals, when i ran the dynojet needle, it was extremely sensitive to altitude changes. Like i could be at 1400 ft, and it would run fine. At 0 ft, it would not runworth a crud in midrange. I didn't have a chance to runt he keihen needle, but it might take the sensitivity away...

All I really need to know, is just how close the jets are. If it's like plkmonster2 says, and a DJ 132 would be about the same as a Keihin 138, then that's what I am looking for.

Check it yourself and you will see that dj=keihein for main jet.. the needle is different but jet, no.....
