Well, I have been looking at SUV's for awhile. I do like the bigger ones, but with the price of gas, that was a no go. I did my homework and drove several, Toyota Highlander, Honda pilot and Honda CRV. I decided on the Huyndai Santa Fe. This company has really turned around for the better and has been building a really good reputation for thier cars and score very high marks with JD powers and the car review sites. 10 year 100,000 mile powertrain, 6 year 60,000 mile bumper to bumper, 5 year unlimited mileage roadside assistance, Plus a kicking stereo system. 6 speakers, 220 watts. Got it today spanking new from the dealer. The warranty is great and it gets great gas mileage. 19 City, 25 Highway with a 2.7 L V6. Im really surprised just how much room this thing has, 4 adults comfortable with plenty of legroom. If I need to tow anything really big, I have my GMC 2500 LWB Van with a 350 Vortech, so Im covered there. Anyway, heres a pic of one identical to it other than mine has door handles that match the paint, which I like better anyway.

Congrats on the new ride. Hyundai has really been working on making a better name for themselves, and in my opinion, they've been doing a good job at it. I mean, look at the warranty those things have. It's almost unheard of.

I dont like it, it's too small. We have an Escalade and that sure does look nice.

Thanks for the compliments WKY400EX.
What I was looking for was a suv type vehicle to get around town in, wal mart trips, fun to drive, good gas mileage, etc.
What really surprised me was how much room this thing has inside. Room for 4 adults comfortable.
I think it will fit the bill just right for me and ive already had compliments on it from several people.
Big ole SE grin >:D <

those are pretty nice suv's. my mom was originally going to get one but instead she got a ford escape instead. but like you were saying about hyundai becoming a better company i definatly agree on that. they have one of the best warranties out there.

Look's nice Howie! ;)

I'm with you on gas mileage... I'm not liking my Chevy 350 with a 45 minute drive to work... :grr:

The fact is you know your driving a Cadillac not a Chevrolet. Pretty soon all the cars are going to be looking alike, it's terrible so you can stop with this "they all look alike" bullshi$.

The only reason your sayin that is cause you cant afford them.

lmao funny, the cadillac might as well say chevy, or gmc considering they are all produced by the same company. Woohoo it says cadillac on it yet its a tahoe/yukon with a bloated price.

PS: SGA we drove a friends santa fe and they are really nice! Huyndai has really stepped it up and their new sedan is SUPER nice and cant be the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty!

trust me, if I wanted to buy your parents "used" vehicle, I would.

Do you know what that vehicle is worth right now? I laugh at you for acting like its a very expensive vehicle, when its really not.

I like the smaller 'SUV's" too even though most seem to look alike. I would really like to get a Subaru Forester or Legacy Outback.

Nice ride SGA:)

This is a problem I have with Hyundai... They have the GREAT WARRANTY, but NO service or to back it up, Guy at my works daughter bought a tiburon, Check engine light came on after a few thousand miles, she took it in, and no one knows what to do with it!

very nice sga. should be a good ride for you. you just going to use it as a daily driver or throw in a little off roading?

and about the cadi one again hell froze over cause i agree with mofo. they are nice cars no doubt but definately not worth the money. all they have is a name. i guess they make people feel rich and sophisticated. and btw i DO have an escalade and i most certainly would not have wasted the money on it. also have a brand new 05 dakota, and civic....so does that make me cooler?

Im not sayin it is expensive though, I know it wasn't expensive when they bought it, it was like hmm, 25,000 after all their negotiations.

Theres a dent in your door:o

The santa fe's are nice, my parents were thinking of getting one of those this summer, but with my mom not working cause of her broken anckle, and her dissability running out I gues the mini van with 150,000 miles will have to last another couple months till I can buy my bronco. By the way its a 98 dodge caravan, and there has been no majior problems with it, and it still runs strong, well as strong as a mini can be:blah: Gotta love american cars.
