my 02 ex has been making a ticking sound and is idling a bit higher rince i changed the oil the other day. any ideas. some people have said my valves need adjsutment.

is that hard thing to do. i just got my ex about 2 weeks ago so im still unfamiliar with it.

naa its pretty easy...just take all the plastic off and your gas tank. The take that little plastic cover and your snorkel off anf there are your 4 valve caps...the front are exhaust and the back or intake. im not sure of the right clearance off the top of my head but stick a feeler gauge in there and tighten them up and put the caps back on and your done.

i doubt it....its pretty much the same concept tho...call your dealer and ask him to tell you what your valve specs on a 300ex is...
