Hey what is everyone's opinon on h-d 20 in. on 10in. c-series for the back of a 400ex and the 22in. on the 10in c-series for the front. Would they be too heavy or anything, would i have to gear different? I have stock gearing on my 400ex now but i have a 3- tooth and a 14 tooth o i can change if I have to. thanks for the info. Steve

They are for sand and mud and trial riding. What other tires would be the best for the 400ex. I was aklso looking at Razr and mxr4. Any suggestions would be appreicated. Thanks Steve

thats a pretty big difference holeshot hd's and holeshot mxr's..what type of riding are you doing...i ride mostly trails and may start harescrambles and the few closer GNCC races..so i run 6 ply HD tires..hardly any worries bout them going flat..so if u ride trails and highly populated areas with rocks and debrie i wouldnt suggest MXR4's unless u got the money to replace them...frequently..i never rode on kendas but they are a excellent cheap tire from what i hear...but its all ur riding style..if u ride trails get 6ply..if not get 4 ply..do what u think is best..

Where in Wisconsin do you live/ride?

I'd say go with a XC type tire for what you're riding in, it should do just fine. I'm running Holeshot XCR's on my Banshee and they are awesome, tread doesn't last that long though.

I'd say that a 6 ply tire stronger than a 2 ply radial. By a long shot. I slit my front on my 400ex on a rock coming off the ice. They were 2 ply radial. I have mud sharks or the back that are 4 ply and they are really hard. I lovre those for the mud. Steve Slater

THe H_D does really well in the sand. THe holeshot tread pattern is better than the razr in the sand. I also like the the kenda klaw for sand withthe directional tread it is hard to beat:)
