Can powder coating just rub off or wear off? By foot brake the top wore off to the metal and my bumper wore off where I had a tow strap. Did I just get a chitty job done???

Yea it can still get worn off in high wear areas, thought its a lot more durable than regular paint. That's why people use frame guards.

I imagine it could come off if it gets rubbed enough. We bought frame guards right away.

its going to wear off if it is consistintly rubed on. its not invinsible!

if it wore off from just a strap then it was put on way too thin, or the weather wasnt right,if the weather is cloudy or rainy the powder wont stick and will be thin and wear off real quick

lol..that is incorrect.

powdercoating is pretty tuff, but a strap will damage it in certain cases just as a strap can damage the surface of chrome. we always strap to a nerf bar or the bumper so we dont tear up the frame.

i ment the humidity and such, when our race shop does PCing the guy says that in some conditions the powder wont stick, not arguing but i just assumed that he was right since he always does a good job.

pcing works by electricity, not by weather... with that said just like everyone else has said.. if you rub somthing long enough, it will go through.. err maybe i shouldnt have put it that way.. LOL

but takea peice of packing tape and put it on the high rub area, done deal.. just keep an eye on the tape works for me
