Bolt Pattern for honda 300ex

We just got a honda 300ex from an old man who did not know anything about it. We are not 100% sure what year it is and we just ordered new front wheels. The man said he thinks it was a 1998 model and when we got the wheels they did not fit on our quad.

So what I need to know is has honda ever changed the front wheel bolt pattern from 1993-2002? And what year did they change?

Nope, the only year that had a different bolt pattern on the front was the 87 250X.
